Tháng Một này, ghé qua bốn thành phố của Đông Nam Á, Giữa Miền Di-Dịch khám phá di dân như một căn tính tương liên, không ngừng biến đổi. Tựa như thân rễ (rhizome), một mạng lưới phát triển không ngừng lan rộng và đan xen, căn tính di dân tạo nên sự liên kết thông qua khoảng cách, ngôn ngữ, lịch sử và chất liệu nghệ thuật. Được khởi xướng bởi bốn Viện Goethe ở Đông Nam Á vào năm 2023, Giữa Miền Di-Dịch quy tụ các nghệ sĩ Đông Nam Á và các nghệ sĩ tha hương đang làm việc và sinh sống tại Đông Nam Á và Đức để tìm hiểu về chủ đề di cư và căn tính. Giữa Miền Di-Dịch trưng bày các tác phẩm mới từ ba chương trình lưu trú nghệ thuật tại Indonesia, Phi-líp-pin, và Việt Nam, cùng các tác phẩm được tuyển chọn qua một vòng mở đơn gần đây. Liên Hoan sẽ mang các tác phẩm trình diễn và sắp đặt ghé qua Hà Nội, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Denpasar/Bali và Manila. It is a relentless negotiation of selves through encounters. This January, in four cities across Southeast Asia, Dealing in Distance explores diaspora as a relational, ever-evolving identity. Like a rhizome—a horizontal, entangled network—this identity forms through connections across distances, languages, histories, and artistic approaches. Initiated by four Goethe-Institutes in Southeast Asia in 2023, Dealing in Distance brings together Southeast Asian and diasporic artists based in Southeast Asia and Germany to explore themes of migration and identity in distance. A culmination of this journey, Dealing in Distance presents new works from our three residencies in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, alongside contributions from an open call selected by a jury. The festival will take the first leg in Hanoi, before traveling to Ho Chi Minh City, Denpasar/Bali and Manila. Each stop will host exhibitions, performances, and public programs tailored to each local context.
